    Increasenow,

After reading NTW31’s response to you – maybe I overreacted to what you were asking, - My Apologies Sir

    NTW31,

My Apologies forgetting off topic as well Sir

    Now moving on

i read an article were they kept scanning the brain of a really good trader... and the trader had an extremely overactive frontal lobe and i thought that was funny cause when i trade a get a huge headache there

I don’t get headaches, but at the end of the day I must take a short nap to reenergize – My head feels like "all" the energy has drained

I also find on the first few trades of the day my palms sweat, and my heart will palpate a bit… And I'll keep reacting this way until I’m able to get mentally absorbed in to my trading - then it'll clear up

I also have a demo account, and use it before the opening – akin to how a pitcher warms up before going in – to get my mind / motor skills in sync…, (the cobwebs cleared out) but it really hasn’t helped with the palpations / sweaty palm thing on the first few trades

I use breathing techniques, and they help a bit,- and - I'm going to up my work out regime to see if this helps

But any suggestions on overcoming morning jitters would be much appreciated

    Thanks

Trading is as hard, or as easy, as the trader makes it!

As for Gurus, there are none, but there are a few traders, as mentioned, that have developed certain skills that are far beyoned what most traders will ever even think of!

Money moves the markets, but it can be very hard to determine if money is coming or going, as the basis behind the decisions is nearly always, well, not the best!

Back testing is about as much use as reading books on the subject.

As to comparing academic studies to trading, correct trading is much much harder to learn, as it requires the use of common sense!

In most cases, 1 Hr should be ample time to prepare before placing bets, and the duration of trading should be determined by the amount of money that is moving in and out of the market.

I may try a little light exercise in the morning – to see if it helps – (always been worried about getting too pumped up)

And I hear you on the “needing the de-tox time” - My wife sometimes thinks I’m bi-polar:p …. normally laid back, but when trading, or just finishing up – very focused and VERY blunt

We’ve finally agreed when the office door is closed – I’m working, even made kind of a joke out of it now
