Spreads tend to trend very hard (more than most markets I’ve seen) and staying on the wrong side while compounding the misery is a brutal short lived existence
By the way @bone did you have any interesting spread moves when GC dropped 100 points the other day? Did you see any significant narrowings or widenings on GC-related spreads, like gold and DX or something? That was a brutal drop, and GC has been rather violent in moves since then.
Adding in a pyramid shape can also help. For ES in 5 minutes which way do you think is better. 3,2,1 9.3.1 8,4,2,1......... (just to give a few examples)
