It's expensive to get in and out of those multi leg option trades do you do dynamic hedging when position goes against you? Your current trades worked but there will be times when position runs against you
I have been trading options full-time for 9 years. I have had more positions go against me than for me. I blew out my first major PM account. This journal has been live for 6 days, I'm sure one of my trades very soon will be a loser. I have iron-clad risk management rules, I just haven't had the need to post them yet. Also, these trades are not expensive to execute. I can post a detailed break-down of costs, but to summarize, in the table I posted earlier, I traded 54 option contracts, so to get in/out that's 108 contracts. I pay commissions of $0.50/per option contract. So, 108*.50= $54 total commissions to make $13,000. I'd say that's pretty cheap.
I cannot. It's a position taken at work. Where's yours? Here's one of my personal wins: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/dests-everything-journal.332136/page-11#post-4859112
Now you've done it! You've revealed your identity. Won't be long now for all the trolls to come out of the woodwork to high-jack this thread. Regardless, welcome back Brutal Master.
