Greetings, I would like to ask you, the experienced ones, about the MOST activity hours of AUD & CAD forex futures. I am aware that both underlyings traded 23 hours a day, but when is the most volume of the day? (both against dollar ofc) Thanks alot
Even without the experience, I think it would certainly be the opening and closing of the US session and their respective countries' sessions. US and Canada has the same session, so that one is easy. But, don't under estimate start/end of the London session which is the center of all currency trading.
Speaking in general terms, not about futures .... I wouldn't underestimate London full stop. Remember, London is effectively home to three majors (GBP, EUR, CHF) as well as the Scandies and Middle-East. Its also well suited to capturing the far-east close (Hong Kong, Singapore).
Found on CME volume for each day of the mounth (helps me too) but couldnt find hourly. If anyone is trading those futures- he can easly notice such volume picks
You can use the interactive chart resolutions from barchart. Last I remember, 7:20 is when the madness begins in Chicago. However, the growth of electronic trading may have smoothed the transitions between sessions. And of course, futures is but a small shadow of Spot forex. https://www.barchart.com/futures/quotes/B6H17/interactive-chart
Both AUD and CAD are commodity currencies and commodity currencies are most actively traded at the same time as U.S commodity futures are traded , yes during U.S sessions. Why did you want to find out the most active hours? Just wonder, if you don't mind
