Hi guys, My Sebastian, I am from Romania. Today I tried to open an account on IB but I ended up being confused about the section that required a certain a amount of liquidity. Here is what I got after I complete the form. I am a student and those nr. are too high for me to be able to set up an account, should i put an higher amount just to skip this step or will this affect me in anyway? Help me, I really want to set up an account, I had been using other trading platform and I didn't faced those requirement, I just set up an acc. with 200 euros and that was it. Besides on IB website they mention that an account can start from 0 USD.
Then you need a liquid net worth over 20,000. I hear Robinhood takes fools money all the time. Perhaps try there. Also as a side note asking for advice on lying on a regulatory form is a terrible idea. IB people monitor this forum as well. I'm surprised this isn't a bannable offense.
Start a part-time job and save all money you receive from it. Until you have the equivalent of USD20,000 (or more). Then open your IB account.
