This is yet another desperate, phony demrat issue -- just like their "war on women" scam. Families seeking asylum at ports of entry are not separated unless the child is in danger. Jumping the fence is breaking the law and countless Americans who commit crimes are separated from their families every day. Once again, demrats and America-hating leftists (but I repeat myself) are showing that they think illegals should have more rights than citizens.
Blaze the trail my brother. Earn that mantel of high minded idealism. Shame us heartless souls into helping our fellow man. Take them into your homes. Make the sacrifices. Make yourself feel good in the immediate, damn the unintended consequences down the road. All it takes is for one prominent democrat to push it. It's doable, and it's a fix. Meh. You asked for me to show the moral way and I showed one. There are no crocodile tears only an objective analysis. Pulling children from their parents is right in a lot of situations but not all. This policy uses harming children to deter their parents which is wrong. The ends do not justify the means. There’s another moral quandary for you to ponder.
A law that's been in place since 1997. Suddenly the left has a problem with it. Another problem created by the left as they bastardize existing asylum laws. Now everyone is suddenly an asylum seeker. Congress has the full power and authority to change or abolish that law separating children from parents.
Who says entering the country illegally is the same as jaywalking? Any crime that results in a parent going to jail results in that child being separated from their parent. Where is the outcry over it?
