Did you even bother tho read the short piece? Your association with the word does not change its rightful definition as it was intended. You will bend backwards to defend Trump but will not consider the basic fact in front of you.
Tent City under I -95 housed 10's of thousands of Cubans crossing the florida straights. I saw it, lived it and breathed it. https://www.bing.com/images/search?...1092646142909&selectedindex=6&ajaxhist=0&vt=0
Okay, got it. Cultural sensitivities are completely irrelevant to you and they don't matter in any way as long as it pushes your political narrative. I guess to you there is no problem with using the word "wetback" because of the rightful definition. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wetback wetback noun wet·back | \ ˈwet-ˌbak \ Definition of wetback offensive —used as an insulting and contemptuous term for a Mexican who enters the U.S. illegally
No, it is offensive to use the term concentration camps to Jews outside of the context of Nazi concentration camps. Below is the definition from dictionary.com. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/concentration-camp noun a guarded compound for the detention or imprisonment of aliens, members of ethnic minorities, political opponents, etc., especially any of the camps established by the Nazis prior to and during World War II for the confinement and persecution of prisoners.
Still didn't read the piece, did you? Meanwhile your efforts to contort reality and defend Trump by redefining the English language, with which Trump himself only has a nodding acquaintance, is notable.
Hey guys, you're debating with people who think a man can be a woman by simply throwing on a dress and complimenting a woman on her appearance is criminal sexual assault, so thinking the detention centers are concentration camps really isn't that much of a stretch for them.
You guys just can't seem to distinguish between concentration camps and de facto death camps. Because it doesn't suit your purpose, legitimate definitions be damned. Dictionaries are fake news, right?
The whole point is AOC is using the term concentration camps to get a response to the centers where the people crossing the border are being detained. As Deadpool says, "That is just lazy writing". Rather than address the issue of too many people crossing for these centers to adequately care for them is lost. Also these centers exist prior to Trump, he did not create them. So stop with the Pro- Trump and Anti-Trump rhetoric. You hypocrites were quiet when these detention centers existed under Obama. Google Obama and 2014 detention centers. Doctors are screaming that they do not have enough resources to treat all the people showing up every day. SO AOC screaming that these are concentration camps is a bullshit way to avoid the issue and just punish the people who are not equipped to handle thousands of people daily. The word concentration camp has a specific meaning derived from history and AOC knows this and is just trying to get shock. DOnt act like AOC looked up the definition in various dictionaries and is focused on using correct English here. She knows which words she chose and look at the response from Jews and Poland. But what is AOC's response to the fact that a center that could hold and treat 3000 people has 10,000 people there and more coming? She has nothing more to say. Dems want to blame the GOP and GOP wants to blame the Dems and AOC wants people outraged that there are concentration camps on the border. But what has any of them done? Absolute shit.
