The Academy Awards just showed a montage of war movies and it did not included a clip from the greatest war movie of all time. Apocalypse Now I could pick out Saving Private Ryan, Thin Red Line, Paton, Full Metal Jacket and about 10 I didn't recognize. But they did not include Apocalypse Now.
They missed a whole bunch and so many good ones, Top Gun (one of my favorite), Crimson Tide, The General's Daughter, Courage Under Fire, A Soldier's Story, Glory, 13 Hours, The Wind Talkers, The Messenger, Pearl Harbor, MASH, Good Morning Vietnam, just a few that came to mind. The guy talked for wait too long and they showed wait too few films.
