  1. "most American workers view a slight decrease in real wages as pretty darn good. "

Hogwash. Most American workers are seeing more than a slight decrease in real wages, and additionally they are experiencing increases in the cost of living rise at a much faster rate than they could imagine.

How out of touch repubs are, which is why they focus on "star power" and celebrity of candidates, not solutions to the problems.

They are scared to death to even mention the problems, because they know that the captain of the ship is a republican...and they are trying like hell to distance themselves from their past and current relationship with Bush.

The republican party screwed the country, and McBush has the gaul to stand up and say that he is the reformer who will fix D.C. when he was a big part of the problem?

Why the hell do you all hate Americans so much?

  2. I'm not native to Brazil...
Just been here since around 1999.

I think it's fair to say that the second (and to some extent the first) election of GWB can be seen as a pretty brain dead choice...

I understand that the US was under the manipulation of "fear" and the propaganda of war - but still - it seemed pretty darn stupid and was shocking for the rest of the world.

Now, if the voters in the US fucks up again...
Well - it seems they are a bit fucked when it comes to the economy anyway.

Kerry + Ohio or Florida. Very relevant. Look forward to reading more literature in the same vein.

A certain segment of ET posters: Don't expend too much energy on this group. These are KKK (Kappa Kappa Kappa):D members who have demonstrated amongst other despicable qualities, a propensity and willingness towards applying the procedure used to slaughter wolves (outlined in that informative piece you posted yesterday) on the inner city communities. This fraternity undoubtedly belongs at the lowest rung of the totem pole.

  4. You're the one praying upon and preying for the stupidity of American voters.

When did the economic downturn start?

When did the Democrats take control of Congress?

What's the approval rating of Congress?

That's why it's great choice placing someone on the ticket as removed as one can be from Congress.

Maybe Obama can explain Biden's support of the Bankrupcy Bill that was opposed by Obama.

    ABC NEWS
Should Biden Share Blame for Foreclosure Crisis?
Experts: Many Americans Lost Homes Due to a Bill Championed by Biden

"The bill was backed by banks and credit card companies including MBNA, which is headquartered in Delaware, Biden's home state. They wanted the bill because it would make it harder for Americans to use bankruptcy to avoid repaying credit card debt. MBNA executives had been Biden's single largest source of campaign donations, and MBNA has employed Biden's son Hunter as a company executive, lobbyist and consultant. "

  5. Economic downturn began with the run up of oil, food, energy, decline in the value of the dollar because of Bush spending, export of jobs overseas, and the tightening of credit/housing slump.

All time highs in DOW came in 2007 after 2006 elections giving control to dems...

Economic downturn nothing to do with dems...

    Bush approval sub Nixon lows.

Spin, spin, spin from the republican spin machine...
