Abortion and the Republicans debate

Discussion in 'Politics' started by bungrider, Sep 14, 2003.

  1. Why do you constantly spit venom???? would you be for the gov't actively teaching abstinence? think about this: In NYC they started handing out condoms to highschool in the early 90's to prevent aids and pregnancy.....did you know the the rates of both went up??? The biggest farce in the world BTW, ...is Planned Parenthood......guess who started it and the reason why??? Ill let you do some research on it but it's really quite amazing.

  3. Why do conservatives constantly insist on telling me how to think and feel about personal matters??

    **hint: misery loves company.

PS - I only spit venom against the Bush administration, easily the worst this country has ever known. Most of the time, I think it's hard to argue with the fact that I'm just calling a spade a spade, like our friend Maverick pointing fingers at the liberal flip-floppers, when he himself is a flip-flopper...

Fact is, most conservatives are reality-fearing, freedom-loathing, knowledge-loathing, denial-loving, doublethinking cult members. If you want to behave like that, go live in Syria. Lots of people there just like that. Hell, you can even run through the streets hitting yourself in the head with a stick or a knife once a year. Sounds like it's right up the conservative alley.

And PS2 -- if I think Dean or Kerry or whoever gets elected next is doing a shitty job, you're going to hear about it. Constantly.

  4. what are you talking about??? you seriously have way too much hatred of conservatives in your body....I mean, every single post you make, even if it's about the weather, is a way for you to vent and some how blame GW...i can see it now..." hurricane Isabel is a disaster and the republicans didn't;t do anything about it".....

I also think this is the same reason GW will win again....keep up the good work...

  5. :D hehe...I'd probably be saying the same thing about myself if I weren't myself...

GWB is a metaphor for everything I think is wrong with this country. Namely, drugs, business corruption, misappropriation of tax revenue, business corruption, separation of church and state, etc.

PS -- I must say, I do agree with just about everything you posted on the other thread --

I myself would be 100% in favor of limiting the abortion window to an even shorter period than it is now. Ballpark 2 weeks would be fine with me. Put the burden on the mother to find out if she's pregnant in two weeks. Make all surgical abortions illegal unless there is a mandatory reason why it needs to be done later than 2 weeks but still it must happen within the 1st trimester (basically what you said in #1 and #2); force them all to be RU486-induced or whatever.

People like myself spit venom at anti-abortion people because they act totally insane.

I think young people would be better off to have a complete understanding of sex, from everything all the way to abortion. Make them listen to people who've had abortions and regret it. That'll cut down on the number of abortions by young people, and also stop minors from having so much sex...

BUT, conservatives want to keep sex ed out of schools. Condom giveaways in schools, by personnel who are not trained as counselors is DUMB. But still, it might be better off than getting HIV when you're 15...but then again, it's dumb to give someone a condom and not professional counseling on STDs, sex, abortions, etc...

Having sex when you're under 18 is retarded anyway. I'd be hard-pressed to think of anyone I know who doesn't regret having sex when they were under 18.

Abortion is not and should not be a method of conception.

But I will still fight for the right to choose...

And what about school prayer?? Violates the whole freedom of religion freedom we theoretically we have in this country.

  7. YES. For many reasons.

The big problem in this country is Hollywood culture. (That's just my personal belief).

But when I watch TV or even cable, it's insane. Yeah, I'm a grown up and I know that what I'm watching isn't reality, but I'd be damned if I'd let my kids watch any of that SHIT.

    REJECT HOLLYWOOD CULTURE.

Sex in the City? Good show, but it should be called Sluts in the City. I can watch it, because I know it's not reality and the characters on that show need some SERIOUS therapy, but how could a 13 year old make that distinction???

  8. LMAO!!!

Im going to admit that my wife and i watch that show on friday nights , if for no other reason, its the one time I can watch soft porn with my wife!!!! Seriously though, its one big orgy on that show...each episode they all bang another guy.....no consequence, no condoms, no problem....Kids today are inundated with sexual images, movies , shows, videos, ect.....when i was a kid, we had Daisy Duke and charlies angels, which is tem to MTV videos i see

Will you stope calling me a flip floper. Are you telling me because I thought one way about an issue in my teens and then when i actually learned more about this issue and came to an intelligent conclusion I'm a flip flopper? Please. Also, something else to add, I am not in public office. When you have people like Clinton, Gephardt, jesse jackson, and Al gore screaming at the top of their lungs being pro-life and then suddenly do a 180 bout as soon as they start running for public office that is a joke. They should be ashamed of themselves. What a bunch of sellouts. You want to hear how liberals are hypocrites, I'll start a thread for that because I don't what that discussed on this thread. Please keep the topic to abortion here. Thanks.

bung, my lad, they make it because you watch it, you watch it because it's what you want to see.

Hollywood culture? There is no such thing. If you would only view "pure" films and shows, then that's what you would get.

Don't try to blame someone else for your own taste.

I believe that you will find any number of refined educational/cultural programs on television AT THE EXACT SAME TIME!
