  1. Perhaps if they were to cut state taxes some more and curb spending on infrastructure...

    Oh, wait.

  2. You can take all this up with DeSantis as his campaign take shape.

If you want to keep bloviating about how great dems have been for the economy, then have at it. We know that DeSantis will.

Most likely you will end out voting for him before it is over. Or maybe for Trump.

Abbott is probably working tirelessly to avoid the problem and GWB is working tirelessly to publish garbage on this board. Why are you doing it, my friend? Life is great. Relax.

Abbott promised he would fix the electrical grid problems in Texas -- one of the most populated states -- and there would be no more issues. Instead nothing has been done -- and the issues are at a critical level. This is one of the biggest state government screw-ups in recent memory and it was totally preventable.

  8. With prayer, no doubt. Abbott is very big on prayer. 'Cause, you know, you don't really have to do anything then.

Abbott probably merely prayed that it would be the Democratic areas without power.

The problem with Texas’ electric grid is deregulation and privatization run amuck. Electric is very political in Texas there’s a whole bunch of issues swirling around the mess from opposition to “green energy” to the belief the private sector can do a better job than government. And the end result is dividends are being handed out and infrastructure is aging and not getting the upgrades it needs.
