#1 They seem to value internal organic growth and develop within as much as they possibly can. #2 They seem pretty smart when it comes to acquisitions. Too many tech companies will blow billions on ego acquisitions paying huge markups. Apple just bought another interesting company but paid a few millions for the purchase, they seem to find and target the small agile tech companies and snap them up cheaply. Unlike Microsoft which spends billions on ill timed acquisitions which end up having to be expensed away as goodwill. Cisco is also notorious for blowing billions buying up companies to chase the latest hot trend, only to overpay because of ego warfare.
