Does anybody know what happened midday? I had to leave so I set some large stops on both my stock and options, and both were hit.
I remember when AAPL was sitting at $12.000000000 BUCKS a share....No one cared for it or any of its product. I think I also remembered when it took a dip below 10, haha. Anyway at the rate AAPL is moving 100 is possible by the end of today. I feel like buying but I sold for a loss in late December, cant buy it within 30 days of selling for a loss. Would anyone forget about the rule and buy AAPL here at 95.30???
will be interesting to see where aapl is end of week. we are just starting a short swing trade as without real history this is a momentum and short squeeze. 96 with exit 93 should be safe, but will short and cover throughout for max op. of revenue. We are also starting long positions on rimm each time it fall close to 131 or below as rimm is about to come out with its new blackberry? great day for swing trading. w
Some individuals mistook steve jobs as saying they were only going to talk about the Mac at the conference, when in fact, he said "that's all we're going to talk about the Mac today," indicating that he was done talking about the Mac. Whoever misrepresented that transcription is getting a spanking.
s2007s i would like to answer your question ,but have never paid attention to that rule. i thought if you have 25,000 in act. you are ok. bgp
is that true, I do have a daytrading account, i didnt know that rule didnt apply to a daytrading account....does it????
im looking it up now. Im not considered a daytrader but I do have a daytrading account setup. Here is what I found: Wash-sale rules. The wash-sale rules of section 1091 generally prevent deducting losses from the sale of securities if, within a 61-day window around the sale (from 30 days before to 30 days after), the taxpayer has purchased similar securities. Online or day traders trying to take advantage of market fluctuations to dart into and out of a given security will find that the wash-sale rules do not apply to mark-to-market traders, per section 475(f)(1)(D).
