  1. See if economic theories work? I just want you to know the definition first, then maybe ill link you to some sites about actual application. You are getting ahead of yourself :). You have to walk before you can run. So yes, go look it up then come back. Until then, your are just a fly in the ear of people who actually think about it.

  2. Damn, I jest figgered it out, I be votin for McCain and his friend Sarah because:

From what I recall of the campaign it will be McCain writin dem checks with dat 2500 per person or $5000 per family medicine fixin programin he be spoutin about.

Here be a link to dat part of his proposen.

"every family will receive a direct refundable tax credit - effectively cash - of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families to offset the cost of insurance."

    http://www.johnmccain.com/content/d...aa-800e35da37bb

My wife Norma Elma Jene and me be tinkin about splittin the fambly up so we each got one of da kids and dat way we gots 2 familybys and be gettin $10000 from that nice fella McCain and his MILF friend running with him whose fambly collected over $20000 from that nice Alaska oil tax she passed as gubernor of dat big state up nawth.

See and dont tell no one, but iffin you spit yer fambly up you gets more from the gummint.

nd iffin you movein to Alaksa, remember it be dat really big state where you can look hard and see dem commies in Russia, you gets McCain's big ole check and 'nother one from dat nice lady Sarah Palin.

I didn't do reel good in skool, but if you adds McCain's 10000 (remembger, we be divorcin) to Sarah's $20000 you gets $30000, enuff to buy us a nice double wide in that Meth capital of Alaska where Saray was da Mayor or sumpin.

  6. I've never put anyone on ignore. But I have checked and you have not made a single valid point in the entire political section. If you had I wouldnt mind putting up with you just so I get exposed to the good point you have once in a while. But you never do. Literally. In all the threads you've started. For that, you are on ignore.

  9. The exagerations in this only furthers the validity in the saying, "leave a nickel on a table and a republican will kill you for it" If you actually earned that money you might have a point but those of us who live in the real world know what goes on. Earn, is the most loaded word in the english language. Work, you know it when you see it ...trading is what people do to avoid work.

    ...
The real question is: How does government provide a helping hand without making it a lifestyle?...

    or something like that...

Get a group of doctors together and ask them about the attitudes of people on medicaid. The entitlement class is a permanent fixture of any socialist program. I can tell you many first hand anecdotes as my ex wife was a county MRDD administrator. I about pulled my hair out when I would hear a few people on permanent disability (due to just being dumb) complain about how the government was mishandling THEIR money. People who were getting fat on welfare demanded and recieved stomach stapling surgery. My ex, a social worker, would get so exasperated that she would often just say that we should cut them all off for a while. The view from the front lines is far different than what you get from watching TV, and doesn't match the strawmen being offered here. Someone above said you can't turn your back- well yes you can. Parents do it all the time with their own children when they realize that most poverty is a disease of the mind and can't be cured with cash donations. No quicker way to the poorhouse than by making bad decisions.

This particular county, as do most, regularly went bankrupt. It was a curious experiment, suddenly people were simply told 'no' and they went back to whatever hole they crawled out of. The county didn't crumble, there were no liberal shoutdowns, they simply went to wherever home was. Clearly there will never be enough money to solve these people's problems, because they are professional problem generators. Go ahead, find the nearest walking train wreck in your life and start throwing cash at them and let me know how that works out for you. We are inherently a self-destructive species, we were never genetically programmmed for a modern welfare state. Basically we're still the apes that roamed the savannah 200,000 years ago. Provide us with essentials and half of us will lay in the sun all day without too much guilt. There isn't any turning back, once you convince people that they are entitled they will fight you hard to keep it.

It's only a few percent Obama's supporters claim- as if there is zero spent now. A few percent on top of the trillions already spent is supposed to solve all. Dayton students get more than the area average per student, yet they still fail, so I guess 'a few percent increase' in funding solves everything. 1.7 Trillion a year for retirees, yet all we can hear is a constant drone of demands for better care of the elderly becuase they are broke so I guess a few percent more solves that one. No one dares ask why retirement itself is a right. Nobody questions anymore why we save crack babies at a cost of millions apiece so that they can lead their retarded miserable lives on the dole. You can't challenge illegal aliens rushing onto our soil to give birth without being called racist gringo. This is the world of Pelosi, Frank, Hillary, and Reid about to become the dominant governing model. I fear for that, not the 3 percent increase in marginal taxes- that's just the beginning.

Here we go down this diseased trail a little further...all I ask if that we tax the living hell out of the entertainment industry then. I want to see all the rich people I don't like get hit hard, at least give me that. I want a tax that hits people like Paris Hilton right in the ass. There needs to be a form that everyone fills out and then a government comittee will asses just what your fair value is and therefore what your fair share is. I volunteer for that committee.
