Hi all, In the interests of risk management I'd like in the case of emergency to be able to open a SB postion as a hedge to the STOXX. As D4F don't offer the STOXX does anyone know which index is best correlated with it?
Helenqu did u ask them if they have an equivelant? they may call it something else for trade mark reasons and if need be u could hedge with the dow or the s&p since the estoxx50 is basically is a derivative of those but i am pretty sure you will find that you dont need to worry much about this issue - honestly - relax and dive in head first
gni CFDs are subject to downtick rules for US stocks. I asked specifically. Also the commiss. is quite high: 0.25% per side for UK and something like $0.08 per share for US per side! Q1
Hi all, If anyone is interested as to how I did here is a link to my post: http://boards.fool.co.uk/Message.asp?mid=7367232
Helen, if you want a good insight into trading the eminis I can suggest you try using paltalk.. there are some really interesting free rooms on that in which you can watch and also hear people trading real time. I have spent a bit of time in mirc chat rooms before and had a spell last year in a paid room (never took any trades only used it for learning, I am not a natural follower!) so I know rubbish when I see it.. this is not rubbish and it is the best way I have encountered yet to observe others trading strategies. Several rooms that specialise in the futures.. totally free and well worth a look in my opinion. If you want to check em out send me a pm and I will tell you how to get there.. I don't want to be accused of pumping anyones free chat room here! Incidently nearly all the traders there also use IB so it is good for example when IB was down for about an hour the other day to hear that others had the same problem in real time and also when IB starting to work again for some but not others.. european users got back on line faster as it happened, prob due to using a different server I guess.. Hey Helen Chill baby Stop beating yourself up when you're not perfect, you don't have to be. (and it's a bad thing to even try) Oh, on CTS, I'm the quiet one who sits at the back.
hey, ive seen the deal4free site a couple of days ago and are interessted in opinions on that offer. do you have experience in that thing ? it do sound not too bad, the concept in putting every cost in the spread is acceptable imo, but i did only get the surface by now. is there perhaps a site with neutral/critical information on this ? thanks
