  1. Yes a year after the fact as Mr McCarthy's article is dated even HE knew enough to write about it the NRO.

Plame as a NOC (under Non-offical Cover) was exposed by the Scootter after information from Dick Cheney was revealed to him. Otherwise there would have been no reason for the CIA to kill Brewster Jennings & Associates (Plame's cover company) as a going concern.

AND FURTHERMORE even IF and that's a great fucking big IF, everyone knew of her covert status would you want the Vice President and his chief of staff talking about it? That's CLASSIFIED FUCKING INFORMATION! For fucks sakes I'm privileged to classified information...do you think I'm gonna talk about it to anyone for any reason at all? Fuck no!!!

To out a CIA agent is about the most despicable think I can think of.

  3. "Former President George W. Bush, who left office last month, was ranked 36th out of the 42 men who had been chief executive by the end of 2008, according to a survey conducted by the cable channel C-SPAN."

Lincoln ranked best president by historians

WASHINGTON – Just days after the nation honored the 200th anniversary of his birth, 65 historians ranked Abraham Lincoln as the nation's best president.

Former President George W. Bush, who left office last month, was ranked 36th out of the 42 men who had been chief executive by the end of 2008, according to a survey conducted by the cable channel C-SPAN.

Bush scored lowest in international relations, where he was ranked 41st, and in economic management, where he was ranked 40th. His highest ranking, 24th, was in the category of pursuing equal justice for all. He was ranked 25th in crisis leadership and vision and agenda setting.

In contrast, Lincoln was ranked in the top three in each of the 10 categories evaluated by participants.

In C-SPAN's only other ranking of presidents, in 2000, former President Bill Clinton jumped six spots from No. 21 to 15. Other recent presidents moved positions as well: Ronald Reagan advanced from No. 11 to 10, George H.W. Bush rose from No. 20 to 18 and Jimmy Carter fell from No. 22 to 25.

This movement illustrates that presidential reputations are influenced by present-day concerns, said survey adviser and participant Edna Medford.

"Today's concerns shape our views of the past, be it in the area of foreign policy, managing the economy or human rights," Medford said in a statement.

After Lincoln, the academics rated George Washington, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt and Harry Truman as the best leaders overall. The same five received top spots in the 2000 survey, although Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt swapped spots this year.

Rated worst overall were James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, William Henry Harrison and Warren G. Harding.

The survey was conducted in December and January. Participants ranked each president on a scale of one, "not effective" to 10, "very effective," on a list of 10 leadership qualities including relations with Congress, public persuasion and moral authority.

  5. No.......the biggest "FALSE FLAG" in american history took place on his watch.

Bush was the globalist directed minion in place for the initiated final move to detach the american citizen from any control over their government.......obama is the next globalist directed minion as the planned sequential execution of the "continuity of administrations" game......he is here to bring in the ENDGAME final act!!!

    ENJOY!!!

  6. Bush is great. I wish we had him back in the White House.

If he was still there we wouldn't be a laughing stock in Iran or North Korea, or China for that matter.

If he was still Prez we wouldn't be running a $2Trillion deficit this year and each year as far as you can see.

Bush was the best ever. A real leader. Not some pole smoking, Illegal Alien Muslim.

  8. Landis, I have lurked this site since 2005 and just recently started commenting because I have more time. I have traded since 1997, although you would consider me a piker as I never trade more than 4 contracts a day.

Believe it or not, posts from you, Pabst and even Cutten have helped my trading. Don't ever underestimate it. I pretty well know who the sharpest guys are and that is where you learn.

I agree the politics forum is a vast wasteland and probably won't change.

  9. Don't bother. Facts don't mean dick to these morons. They actually believe that Bush wasn't the worst President in U.S. history by a factor of 10, which of course he was. There have been other great Republican presidents, but they were great men to start with. The idea that GWB qualifies for greatness is absurd. He's a semi-literate apparatchik.

I suppose one could go so far as to say he's not worthy of censure, since it wasn't him that made any of the decisions.

  10. They didn't mind the board be filled with outright lies about Bush but when the tables are turned they start whining about how trashy the place has become.

Irony is nothing they ever said about Bush was founded in reality whereas Obama's incompentence is an open book and there for all to see.
