A Thread For Good News On The Election

Discussion in 'Politics' started by AAAintheBeltway, Nov 7, 2018.

  1. Best news, Rep. Steve King, a fierce immigration patriot and all around great guy, won despite the best efforts of the media and cuck republicans to slime him.

Rep. Duncan Hunter was reelected in California despite being under indictment for campaign finance shenanigans. Yo Trump, can we drop this political prosecution now?

Sen. Joe Donnelly of Indiana, one of those democrats who talk conservative at home and then votes with Schumer, lost. Well done, Mike Braun.

Another two-faced lying dem, Heidi Heitkamp, lost her Senate seat in ND.

Democrats take the house putting an end to Trumps legislative aganda.

  3. Four races really had to crush the dems. One, Texas. It looked like lyin' Ted might be in trouble against media crush Beto O'Rourke. The Hollywood left and silicon valley assholes poured gargantuan money into this race, to no avail. Texas is still part of the United States I guess, at least for a little while longer.

Florida witnessed a two-fer. The wannabe next Obama, ie a guy whose only discernible qualification being his race, Andrew Gillum, lost the governorship to Trump protégé Ron DeSantis. The fact that someone with Gillum's total lack of credentials and extreme far left platform came close is legitimately frightening however.

Gov. Scott defeated Sen. Ben Nelson and flipped that seat to the republicans. Nelson is whining about a recount, so keep your eyes on that one.

Georgia followed Florida in crushing the aspirations of minorities and the media, as another leftwing black candidate, this one a woman by the name of Stacy Abrams lost despite the efforts of campaign volunteer Oprah Winfrey. Abrams is another dem hoping for that lost ballot box with 100,000 votes for her in it to turn up, as she is refusing to concede.

Dems show they are enthusiastic winning by bigger margins than 2006, Obama in 2008 and 2012 and Hillary in 2016.

Texas is no longer safe.Trump won it by 9 Cruz won it by 3 just two years later.Republicans used to win both by around 25 points.

Dems did well in the blue wall states that trump won the electoral college by 80,000 votes.Democrats won the senate and governors races in all them.

The blue wall is back and Trump will have to fight to keep the republicans biggest electoral state, resources that could be used elsewhere.

  5. Claire Mckaskill/sp went down. Nice punishment for voting against kavanaugh. Ditto for Heitcamp.

I dont know the final numbers but looks like Trump has enough senate votes to put an even more conservative judge on the bench without worrying about someone being out sick the day of the vote. Not to forget that Trump needs to continue to move cabinet appointees in and out and the senate votes will be needed for that.

Other good news, is that a couple of the republicans were replaced by more reliable republicans rather than never-trumpers. The woman in Ariz, mcsally or something like that, is more reliable than that flake, mccain crew. and Marsha Blackburn more reliable than Corker.

  6. Good news/bad news department. Immigration patriot Kris Kobach somehow was defeated in the Kansas gubernatorial race. That means he is now available to replace Sleepy Sessions however as AG.

  7. Great points. There turned out to be so much good news I couldn't get it all in.

I hate losing the House but keeping the Senate is far more important. And you are right, we upgraded with McSally and Blackburn.

Texas and Georgia used to be 20+ point win states for republicans, now you are barely hanging on by less than 3 points

Remember that ad they ran against Paul Gosar (R) in AZ with his whole family endorsing his opponent? He won. By a lot.
