Turtles again when HFT is the main theme? Are you going to rise a horse to go from NY to LA?

  3. So, did I miss the memo that this site is only about HFT? Is there only one time frame to trade profitably?

Hardly - but then there remain some still afraid of the big bad boogie man

Yes..., switching TF's..., especially when in a trade and it losing - is a very bad idea

  5. Yes, switching time frames in the middle of a trade is a very bad idea, but there are many time frames in which to be profitable.

I would venture to guess that there are some people on this forum that don't have the time to sit in front of the computer all day. Therefore, discussions relative to longer time frames would be relevant.

All of them - price is contiguous ;)

But then - that also means all of them are potentially losers

  8. A thought on trading edge - I think trading is like managing a certain number of different Russian (nesting) doll sets, and each set has its own complexity in it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matryoshka_doll

Thanks for this post. It was extremely helpful in my process. It's helped me understand some of the logical reasons that define why ......some things appear to work better than others.

    Happy New Year!
