    Actually, this is extremely incorrect.

  2. Can you explain why?
I have to post all the time the same messages to different people. And they don't know what the others respond to me. So everybody misses a lot of the story.

    Hello, brother Nobody...

Here's how I can help you to understand.
And, of course, as my friend, there will be no charge today.

    So...

    1. Hover your mouse over your nickname at the top of any page.
    2. Click on "Private Threads" in the second column.
    3. You will then see the words "Private Threads" in large font.
    4. Read the sentence that is written directly under those words ("Private Threads").

Have fun and be sure to trade the trend tomorrow.

If the cognoscenti don't want to mix with the rabble, all they have to do is make extensive use of Ignore. After a point, ET becomes a virtual private website. No need for elaborate formulas to determine "quality", no need for curtained or glassed-in alcoves, no need for additional fees, no need for tiered memberships. Just Ignore. Those who don't have the discipline to avoid reading those who are on their Ignore lists anyway should more likely work on their discipline -- which will benefit them in more ways than one -- than complaining about all this stuff that they don't want to read but that they read anyway.

While I've said more than once that journals and journalists should be hands off, there has been no interest in bringing that about. So my advice regarding the Ignore list applies here as well.

To get hits you have to pay for high quality content.

Not necessarily. There are more than a few professionals who are happy to give it away, e.g., Linda Raschke and Vad Graifer. Even though BMT has many times the active members than ET (5:1 at the moment), the difference between ET and BMT is not the fee. The difference between BMT and ET is the same as the difference between ET and Yahoo message boards: the moderation. TL became what it is because vendors were given free rein. ET is what it is because trolls are given free rein. This most likely results in a great many more clicks. Look at Jerry Springer. But what is the relationship to "quality"?

It's not all that difficult to turn out a quality product that is also profitable. "If you build it, they will come."

Two thoughts. Not to start an argument, but since this is a forum that I'm sure Baron follows closely, its important to present another viewpoint.

    1. It seems to me that you label anyone who doesn't believe every word you say a troll. You keep arguing that people don't even read your PDF and hence shouldn't comment on it first, but many of us keep saying we'd like to see some real time demonstration of your teaching methods with live calls, and that request always falls on deaf ears. So it is my opinion that as of late, any reasons you have for calling someone else a troll, you are guilty of yourself.

    2. If BMT has 5 times the active members, and is troll free, why simply not go there permanently? Given the amount of posts you have here every day, which I think in the past year has actually increased, this shows that there are reasons enough for you to stay here. So I have to question why a person as smart as yourself, who enjoys pointing out the logical flaws in the arguments of others, would continue to post on a forum that he deems overrun by trolls and has only 1/5 of the activity of the other mentioned forum.

Admit it Db... you love this place too much to leave. You love to share those great quotes about how a struggling trader doesn't do what is necessary to turn himself into a winning trader, and hence, in the same fashion, if you're so bothered by the trolls, the best solution would be to simply leave for a troll-less website. But alas.... you can't. Perhaps now you can understand us struggling traders just a little better by looking in the mirror. :)

more specific staff perhaps :). for example I saw at small activity forum they put supported staff for free coding :).
I once use his service to create custom indicator and EA based on mql programing. since there's lot of place of commercial coder available, it would be nice to had within forum it self. and all these custom creation should available for public, free use for all forum members.
(just my thought, I'm new here.. totally no body :) )

The only thing I did in the very beginning was go into USENET news groups for financial related discussion and told people about my website in that way. I never hand picked or invited specific "quality members".

Of course some have. We've been around for 18 years! The average person changes jobs around every 4.6 years. To think that quality posters who were once here should somehow perpetually remain indefinitely is not realistic.

Furthermore, and this is very important, if you truly believe there were members from the old days who were more knowledgeable, then go back and read their posts! Everything valuable post that significant members have contributed are still here. You can easily go back and read the wisdom from 2004 just like you can read threads from today. All of that content is easily accessible and searchable, and much of it is timeless and still relevant today.
