A sucker born every minute

  1. It sounds like whining to you because thats how your mind interpreted/read it. So in fact, you might be the whiner Mr. EsKiller BadAzz

My premise isn't about complaining on forums about a disagreement that I have with service sellers... My premise is that I'm amazed how many suckers exist for people like James Bond to thrive, and moreso I'm appalled that these guys give trading such a bad imagine in the eye of the neophyte.

    Cheers.

Out of curiosity I just visited Raging Bull website, and there they are - all the Gurus in one place, except for me that is:

I actually kinda like one of them and would want to subscribe to, if it was 20% of the current cost.

Firstly, why do you think trading deserves a good rep? Traders try to make money while creating nothing. These "gurus" are doing the same. As I'm sure you know, 90% of traders lose money. These people are desperate for some kind of guidance in a world of randomness. Some enterprising folks are smart enough to exploit this and create a guaranteed source of revenue, even if they can't beat the market. It's capitalism 101. Who are we to judge them? The people who sign up for this stuff are going to lose their money to the market anyway.

PS: Get a decent ad blocker and you won't see any of these annoying ads.

  4. Thank you for your thoughts.

I don't think trading necessarily "deserves" a good rep, but these type of guys really give it a worse off image. I can't believe guys like this are in the same realm as me (in a sense).

Its true that traders make/lose money while creating nothing, but thats not our fault. The market is here whether you want to extract alpha out of it or not, and since I live in America and have some risk capital, I figure why not. Society is rigged anyway so at least the commoner still has some ways to get the upper hand.

And I totally agree about people being desperate in a world of randomness. Don't get me wrong, I have NO PROBLEM WITH "TRADING COACH SALESMEN"... in fact theres a few I like (Andrew Keene, Al Sherbin, Dan Sheridan, John Carter, Mark Fischer etc.) but do you see the difference between who I just listed and a guy like Jason Bond? I guess its the way they advertise that really throws me off.. the branding and method of selling a dream instantly makes me think of Tom Foolery. I can tell in his eyes he can't trade for shit, and if he really can then he has me fooled for sure.

  5. I personally met Al Sherbin at the CBOE, we had lunch and talked trading. I have a copy of his book and its one of the best option books ive read (theres not many good ones out there).

Andrew Keene also invited me up to his office in Chicago and I watched him make $33k in $AAPL that day.

These guys provide a service for those who are curious and want to follow some mentor.

But guys like Jeff Bishop.. every time his infomercial comes on hes on some big jet saying "I"M THE BEST REAL OPTION MONEY TRADER IN THE WORLD".. first off, Jeff.. WTF is a "real option money trader?" lmao cmon dude that doesn't even sound anything near convincing. But I'm sure a bunch of sheep see the jet and get excited since they have advertising dollars up the azz.

Jeff Bishop looks cool, flies in his private jet, got a nirvana t-shirt and smokes cigar. Are these reasons not enough to subscribe?
