A Strange But Serious Proposition for a Not Yet Profitable Trader

Discussion in 'Hook Up' started by Swan Noir, Jan 8, 2012.

  1. That`s funny. :D

You may want to try your luck at some of the other trading forums. ET seems to have the highest noise to content ratio by far. I never registered at trade2win.com and did not spend much time there, but I got the impression that there were more European guys compared to ET, so you may have better luck there.

    Good luck! :)

  2. Thanks for the trade2win suggestion but I'm probably going to wrap this up here -- the nuts are just sooooo far over the top ... lol -- and deal only with the few who have PM'd me. I have met a few interesting people whether I travel to them or not.

I will probably simply just send my wife over at some point to do the broadband/tech setup in a rented place and then fly in a week or so later. Thanks for your sane, helpful approach.

maybe u should show and teach the europeans and asians the american's culture like american cuisine if u know how to cook.

The point is, u still do not know how to trade, and yet u want to teach them.

If i was living in Rome, interested to learn how to trade and willing to provide free hospitality, i rather chose a Higher Educated (MIT Grad) working in institutional (Goldman Sach) for 10 years making an average $400K annual rather than having a small trader like yourself staying at my house learning how to lose.

u don't have the credential to teach people how to trade. Like i said, u are better off teaching them the American Culture

Don't forget: More than 90% of small traders lose. They just lose!

Why are you guys giving Swan Noir such a hard time? He is not charging anything for this. Hell, if I lived in Europe and had the space, I would let him stay for the company. You guys are really jaded.

  5. So would I... Swan's all right in my book (I mean that in the manliest way possible :)).

  6. Mav, Martin:

Thanks for the support guys but I'm all right with the hard time. I've had interesting PM's from guys from Bangkok to London and points in between. Many who don't have the room have offered me lunch, dinner etc. if I hit their town and valuable advice on broadband reliability, latency etc.

This has been a good thread for me and I'm glad I started it. I'm in touch with some great people and some very successful traders as well as some smart, hungry novices that are putting in the screen time. That said, while I'll continue to read posts that come in and do PM's to any that interest me I'm done posting here. We are quickly approaching the point of diminishing returns and the abuse will soon outweigh the productive ... lol.

My thanks to those that have gotten what I am trying to do and been helpful and for those that think I am a crook, hustler or fool I've already said my piece. One last note both Mav and Martin are prolific well respected posters that I have followed for years. If you look back at what they have said over those years their understanding of markets jumps out at you. As is typical in life the pros see what you are trying to accomplish and the less experienced only see the downside.

It's been fun and now I exit stage right!!

Than maybe it's a cultural thing - I'm european and no way I would let him stay - no way i'd be looking for this kind of deal either when I'm travelling.

But good luck all the same.

What are you afraid of? LOL. He's bringing his wife. I admit I would feel a little uncomfortable if another man wanted to stay in my home alone. I'd get over it of course but I can see how that could make someone feel uncomfortable. But a man and his wife. Hell, why not?

I enjoy my privacy and this sounds extremely invasive - asides from Swan's offer not sounding like great deal.

Yet I noticed he's thinking now of sending his wife alone first, as a scoot or something - I feel he's going to receive more offers all of a sudden:D

Do you ever invite people to stay in your home? Hell, I would invite him if he was an animal trainer. LOL.
