he might be rich, but he wouldn't be "ELON MUSK"

Of all the self-made deca-billionaires, he benefited the most from the establishment. Stop drinking his koolaid and think for yourself.

If it was anyone else, I'd doubt the story but with Musk, it's likely true.

He hasn't invented anything. He swoops in with a corporate takeover when the product is near-ready and takes the credit. There's quite a few 12-13 year olds who've made basic games, it proves his smart but don't get carried away. I was running my own tiny online business at 13-14 and netted more than $500, so what?

The dude is a genius investor. How on earth can anyone deny that? Does that not deserve some level of credit?

Keep watching Netflix. It's the stuff of daydreamers and Walter Mitty types on ET. But those who actually work closely with $10 billion+ types don't have time for it...unless they're servants.

I'm the same age as Musk and remember the Vic20s in our school "computer club". By 1984 Blastar was just extremely basic however monthly magazines were hungry for code as one had to type the games in. I had a game for the BBC B included on one of those floppy cover records you had to convert to tape.

The genus part if you can call it that was actually getting 500 bucks? I got something like 60 pounds sterling. Reading about it I see it was on the Spectravision which I barely recall (had a built in joystick?) so maybe he got a premium as they were desperate for any game.

The old saying "when somebody tells you who they are, listen" is very true with Musk. He spent his weekly time on engineering and left business to others. His main feat seems to be to see an idea, decide its neat and stay fixed on it for years which is certainly helped by his ASD. When you see another game he worked on which was a moon based hyperloop it all makes sense.

Well that explains why Branson is the one worth less than ten billion, he messed around with those films.

I won't shatter your illusion of the gods then.

Elon Musk Calling for ‘Hardcore’ Legal Team Made of ‘Streetfighters’
'There will be blood,' the billionaire says Science & Tech May 21, 2022 Gary Bai

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is assembling a “hardcore” legal team made of “streetfighters” amid a series of quarrels with some of the most powerful people in the country.

“Tesla is building a hardcore litigation department where we directly initiate & execute lawsuits,” said Musk in a May 20 tweet. “The team will report directly to me.”

Musk’s move comes at an intriguing time as the billionaire is entangled in a string of high-profile controversies, including his criticism of the Democratic Party and the Biden administration, his recent proposal to purchase Twitter, and a sexual harassment claim against the billionaire that Musk named “Elongate.”

Most notably, the billionaire picked a fight with the Clinton campaign on May 20.

“Bottom Line: A prominent lawyer working for the Clinton campaign fabricated Russia-Trump collusion using a retired MI6 spy & some actual Russians. This is not ok!” Musk said in a tweet, citing The Epoch Times’ Spygate investigation series.

In the thread, the Tesla CEO reiterated how he expects the ligation team to operate.

“We will never seek victory in a just case against us, even if we will probably win,” he wrote. “We will never surrender/settle an unjust case against us, even if we will probably lose.”

This post echoed Musk’s reaction to a lawsuit against Tesla in 2021, in which Tesla agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle claims that the company’s software update reduced the maximum battery voltage in Model S sedans.

“Tesla policy is never to give in to false claims, even if we would lose, and never to fight true claims, even if we would win,” the Tesla CEO said in 2021.

In a notice to those considering the position, however, the Tesla CEO said he is looking for people who are not just regular folks.

“Please send 3 to 5 bullet points describing evidence of exceptional ability,” the CEO said in the tweet. “Looking for hardcore streetfighters, not white-shoe lawyers like Perkins of Cooley who thrive on corruption.”

A current search on Tesla’s career website yields openings in counsel positions in regulatory, insurance, employment, real estate, trade compliance, product liability, tax, and corporate-related fields.

“There will be blood,” the Tesla CEO added to his earlier post.

He is still great because he's Elon Musk, that's the undeniable reality and truth, regardless of whether and/or how much he received from the "establishment". And as a matter of fact, it's only after he's proved himself that the "establishment" decided to invest in him and it's mainly for their own benefit. He single-handedly invented the massive production system of the electric car and built the company entirely with his own money and money from financial lending institutions, not really from the "establishment". He put in everything he got into SpaceX to finance the FOUR spaceship launches before the "establishment" finally recognized him and decided to partner with him. And for everything that the "establishment" has given him, he's paid more than 10 fold back. He single-handedly brought space missions back. NASA was on the brink of canceling its space program before he stepped in and revived it.

Of course this is not to excuse him for what he's done IF he's really done what he's accused of. But his accomplishment shouldn't be diminished.

That's how the Dem's operate nowadays. When they can't get you through your accomplishments, they get you through your pants. But then again, don't blame it on the Dem's. It's the Republicans who started it with the Lewinsky crap.
