Funny thing is that I read a breakdown of the judgment from a lawyer, and this stunt that Elon is pulling is exactly more proof of how he has the board wrapped around his finger. This is the last thing Elon should be doing if he wants to appeal because it proves that the board isn't independent and he is pulling all the strings.

Every corporation gets tax breaks.

They may get a reduction in real estate taxes for 20 years, or the city might make improvements in infrastructure.
It's done all the time.
But, the new jobs that are created provide revenue from other taxes, and the workers spend the money they make in the local community.

Everyone does it.
