I'm surprised that this article hasn't been picked up more in the wider media but maybe it's not in the media's interests to do this. That being said I think it's a gutless article and tells us nothing that we didn't already know inside the industry. After outlining the facts, why doesn't the NYT progress to the next logical point and put this in a legal context? Is it now acceptable business practice to operate a cartel in America these days? I thought that it was illegal but maybe someone can put me straight on that issue.
