No I don't have photographic memory in the sense that you probably mean it. Like Kim Peek. I don't know what the word is for it. More like episodic memory. We all have photographic memory. The problem isn't storage - it is retrieval. Because my mind sees the world as a kind of play on a stage, it is easier for me to remember things because they always have context. So when I see a story that affects me emotionally or intellectually, that "feeling" acts as a kind of hash function. Then google helps me uncover the thread. It isn't something I learned, it is just the way I am. Back to the thread, I am astonished that this isn't seen more of a national catastrophe say the way AIDS is.
