    What do you consider a person who illegally extracts millions from a country where country mates are allowed to move only 50k usd abroad a year, uses loopholes and pretends to be entrepreneur to obtain a visa, only to run a mailbox company? Illegal immigrants are not always only those on the lower rungs of the ladder. Many of them continue to skirt the laws in their new domicile and engage in questionable activities.

  2. And it was answered. So why, then, the follow-up qualifying commentary questioning the content? "Give me a break. That's not how it happened. As always media glorify and only amplify success but don't tell the whole story."

    MOST, according to Forbes/chart, were from Israel;
    + Canada. Most Jews are blessed / good with money. Canada may have a small edge due to location, location, location+ big trading partner with US??:caution::caution:

    Because when you read about their backgrounds most of them were already very privileged in their own home countries. The story of the dirt poor outcast coming to the US and through hard work rising to the top might have applied a long time ago. That is mostly not true anymore today. The entire suggestion of America being a reason those individuals became billionaires is mostly bogus. It's like picking the few top traders and suggesting that hard work and the right environment will turn you into a top trader. Forbes usually runs those stupid stories. Most billionaires themselves who are honest openly admit that they were incredibly lucky and privileged. 13% of the billionaires in the US being first generation immigrants is really nothing remarkable nor special.

    Nearly half (50%!) of all Canadian millionaires are first generation immigrants. Guess out of which pool billionaires rise? I could not find stats on billionaires in Canada but I would guess that more than 13% among Canadian billionaires are first gen immigrants.

    With about 250 working days a year, they can become billionaires at 96,000 years
    old.

    Even with the healthiest diet that would be difficult. But anything's possible.

  9. Rags to riches stories happen all the time with immigrants in the U.S.

    Why do the fuck do you want to measure only billionaires who make up so few of the population anyway.

    I know plenty of people who came here with not much and have a business earning low six figures a year. They may not be rich by your standards but based on where they came from, they are happily middle class and quite successful.

    Either

    A) accomplished in an entire life time

    Or b) brought already plenty money to start up businesses

    Where else did they make money quickly to raise money for businesses thar generate such income?
