A really interesting long-term chart that contextualizes this market rally

  1. Hey Brettman9,

    Thanks for the chart.

Is there anyway for either you, or someone else, to post on this same chart the start of every major US war on it? Just curious as to what it would look like...

  2. The latter, IMO.

The reality is most G7 residents are in fact extremely unproductive in a pretty fundamental sense, as what they/we do has virtually no impact on our ability to live long, relatively healthy lives.

This is GOOD NEWS, especially as more of the world's population reaches this state.

  3. I just actually did the YouTube search, and I think it must be seen as an awfully telling sentiment data point. If you search for "US Dollar" on YouTube, you get the following set of results(unedited):

-US Dollar bills (5, 20,50100) contains hidden pictures!

-The US Dollar collapse starts now!

-China UPSET with US Dollar Devaluation Congressman Burton

    -The Ultimate American Dollar Collapse

-The inevitable collapse of the dollar

-The Collapse Of The US Dollar

-Japan's unshakable confidence in the US dollar, yeah right!

-Webster Tarpley: US Dollar is Dead

-Ben Bernanke - US Dollar is like GOLD!

-The US Dollar Ready To Collapse?

-US Dollar is Collapsing Euro Rising to $1.47 says expert

    -US Dollar A Masonic Code?

This has got to stand out to the contrarian mind.

  4. As an update, the dollar strength idea mentioned here has obviously come to pass.

But I am starting to buy euros tonight.

Short interest here is at all time highs. Sentiment on the dollar has reversed entirely. I just can't see any other way to go.
