Yeah I remember BBI actually holding on to a solid business model a year ago. But unless a drastic change is done, they are doomed. Movies On Demand is the new concept. Also, it's so obvious that they can still dominate rentals with video games. Can't get those via internet or cable and probably won't for a while. Yet instead they focus on getting tons of cheap movies while top renting games are consistently out. I think the BBI short call is good. Timing could have been better, but this seems like more of a longterm play.
Where are the doubters and nay sayers now? WTG Surf! And thank you. I put on a small short and got a call from my broker yesterday."What did you know?" he said. (yes, for some reason I still have some $ at a wirehouse and pay silly commissions...but that account has performed best on a % basis this yr...big commissions=no overtrading). Today I will don my surf shirt and my Inspired Speculation hat to get some mojo on the index positions. And yes, Morrissey has a first name...and no I never got to see The Smiths before they broke up, yes I did go to 5 Morrissey shows...but the absense of Johnny Marr diluted the experience. Keep on Truckin'!
thanks, uptik ! happy i could be of assistance. did you tell your broker to read the "surf report" ?? enjoy the hat and shirt ! best, surfer
surf, unfortunately , no GMH for me....in the spring I bought some various stocks (i mentioned in a thread in March..about MO,GE,SWK,GT) ..I recently sold them at a nice profit(but some early)..and since have had a short bias in my head which I cant seem to shake...so I have had a hard time getting long anything..even though I know thats not the best thing to do. Back to music, you mentioned NIN...i went to one show when Pretty Hate Machine first came out(1991 I think)...it was at the Academy in NYC...sweeeet show....one of my vans popped off in the pit..my foot was bloody...nice! Thankfully my buddy found my shoe and I didn't have to walk 10 blocks with only one shoe.
yeah, NIN. i liked trent's sound for awhile then became very bored with it. that is a funny story about the pit. the most intense pit i ever experienced was black flag 1985. i was physically sick/ in bed for 3 days after that show. best, surfer
I hope you don't think I am stepping on your toes here but I just wanted to mention CVTX as a long play (6 months). A ripe looking short term short ASKJ.
