I wouldn't watch a Michael Moor film if he paid me. And in any case, I'd hate to rely on a film for actually statistics on cancellations due to sickness. Frankly, I doubt it. I don't think an insurance company can unilaterally cancel a policy unless they were ceasing business in a state, or unless you lied on your application in some way. My wife has had some health difficulties in the last year or so, and no problem at all with United Healthcare. I'd suggest you provide some statistics. That's what we see entirely too much of, no facts, alot of political rhetoric. In the house bill, there is nothing about insurance companies selling across state lines. So that won't be happening. And again, for many of us, premiums are definitely going up because of the pre-existing conditions clause. Companies cannot provide that type of insurance without raising rates. So let me guess what happens next. The public becomes outraged when premiums go up, and politicians blame it on the insurance companies. LOL! OldTrader
I am a little baffled by the administration's approach to this. Very heavy on rhetoric and legislation, which rarely makes for good policy. It seems it would have been so much simpler to simply require the companies providing health insurance to federal employees to make it a "come one, come all" offering and let all Americans into the program. Simpler, quicker, and much better chance of giving the private sector a chance to make it all work.
I stand behind Obama 100%, as do most Americans. That is why he is the President of the greatest country in the world. He is going to make this country even better for all once this bill passes.
I imagine that the next few years will be as interesting as the 60s. If not more so. Huge social changes coming up.
Is this because he plans to reduce Medicare reimbursement to doctors, which may affect your job or pay?
I strongly disagree if this bill passes it will be better for the country. It will be yet another huge government program and a burden for the few people who will have to pay for it. If it is going to make the country so much better why not include government employees and the dirty congress people that voted for it to have this health care?
No, I don't vote my personal self interests or ask senators/reps to do so either. My problem is it's an unconstitutional power grab that's anti- free choice and anti free market besides it will be a huge albatross on the neck of the taxpayer increasing cost and decreasing service.
