Best trick in the website marketing business is to create controversy. Think about it, sign up a questionable vendor and then encourage that vendor to post some advertising messages. We all know what happens... Hot heated debates and the threads easily becomes the most popular hit thread at ET. Keeping many members glue to it so they can post their next reply. Now think about the controversial non-vendors at ET (I won't mention any names) that discuss the details of their methods. They help generate a lot of bandwidth for Baron and that looks good for advertisers wanting proof this is a popular site to advertise at. Thus, one can argue that we will never see a better "ignore" feature because it could actually hurt Baron's bottom line. Mark
Jealousy is absolutely the wrong word, pity is more like it. Gotta feel bad for a guy who acts the way that nutjob does. It shows there is obviously something wrong with him. Hopefully he seeks some counseling to deal with his obsession with Jack Hershey and his failure to follow his method successfully.
Extending the ignore feature to the live chat would be a big plus. I was in there recently, hoping to find out what traders are doing in realtime, a couple of guys were typing fast and furious all day about chit chatty stuff. It seems kind of obvious that some posters are here because they HATE conservatives, and a trading website is going to be conservative.
