A message to those that constantly complain

  1. ...I wasn't making an analogy. My point was simply that successful people (of all professions) are very rarely inept or else they would not be in a position of success. Agree to disagree I guess.:)

The Peter Principle is funny. I know plenty of bosses who don't belong in the positions they are in and only got there because of who they know. Incompetence is in abundance at high levels.

  5. Exactly, everyone is so transfixed with small time frames..

Life as a whole has a 100% Failure rate, everyone loses this game.

  6. Your comment made little sense and I pointed that out.

    You are welcome :)

  7. Your point is noted....it just didn't really make a lot of sense. You are saying every doctor is a essentially a failure because they can't stop death? Well, if your area of expertise if fixing the current issue a person has and you do that, how is that a failure? You're not in the business to stop a person from eventually dying, you are in business to fix what's wrong right now. :)

  8. It all depends what the goal is of the game. You make it out like the only goal of life is to live forever and since that's not possible right now, then we all lose. That's a grim view of life.

Your way of measuring the game is not the same for everyone. What about all the in between? Why not go out right now and shoot a cop or jump off a bridge or stick a knife in your chest.....think that maybe those things might not be a good idea? What's the difference, Jackie, we all lose anyways....go out and be bad! :p

  9. Thats the point, the game changes once you truly understand the rules..

This is a zero game, there has never been a winner....

If you really understand that you have to ask yourself if you would have played the game differently.... (killing yourself or getting arrested just shortens the game, not ideal)

  10. No, you're missing my point. You define 'winning' as never dying... since we all lose what else can you mean?
If your definition is such, then of course we all lose.

BUT....who says that your definition is correct. Maybe 'winning' is sleeping with 100 perfect 10's, or making 1 billion dollars, or helping the poor make their lives better and so forth.

Surely, if you believe we all 'lose' this game why not just do whatever you want, why follow the law....why the heck are you on Elite Trader anways? Surely someone enlightened like you would be out 'playing the game differently' since you understand the real 'rules'.

    :)

PS A basketball or football game begins and ends, but it's what happens in between that determines the winner.
