There is an important point that is consistently missed by people who claim hard work = success. Trading in markets by its very nature must have losers. If everyone worked 100,000 hours and had rock solid discipline it would not matter, there still must be losers. There is one and only one thing that matters and has no direct correlation to 'work' inputs- you make more than you lose. There is no formula for it and it could be easy for some. That said, if you don't have discipline or attempt to learn something, you are almost guaranteed to lose over time unless you make a big roulette style bet that happens to win- then you quit.
