LOL ... "Row" lives up to his reputation as being the perfect fade. CAN THE MODERATORS PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD TO CHIT-CHAT?
If you "faded" my call that oil would drop and that the S&P would rally, you lost money. That is, if you actually traded. I always wondered about the pikers who call for the moderator to move a thread. You have so little going on in your life that you're worried about thread placement on ET !!
Market opened higher proceeded to HOD within 25 minutes. Is that what you call a "weak" opening? It has not reached those levels since. Good luck with your call for the remainder of the day, but I believe "weak" is a little hard to spin wouldn't you think doctor.
What you are saying is that the calls Rowshan offers, don't provide much value for your way of trading... I have to agree. If a person wants to call a market. What they generally do is call the open, then comment at intervals during the day. The assumption is that they are good enough to provide a heads up at major turning points. So far, that isn't the case here Also some market commentators have an area of specialization that they comment on, a stock, bonds, currency or some other area where they can offer SPECIFIC recommendations including a price to enter a trade... Again, so far, that isn't the case Its not easy work, and that is why so few are successful. Good luck everyone Steve
Well I will be honest with you...I don't have a lot of time for either. I am all for entertainment to break up the monotony of the day.. But..... In my opinion, if you really wanted to have something of value to work with, you might start now and get a background in Market Profile..It takes a while to get the background information and to get your bearings, but once you do, you have a way to approach the markets that works. There are other areas of analysis that can help but frankly I don't want to be accused of hijacking the thread. I will talk about it in my own.. Good luck Steve
Looks like the "Ball" nailed another morning call as it forecasted WEAK Market action for the AM session. Lets hope the 1:05 pm forecast calls for more downside, my puts took a hit at the open. Rennick out
Nice job Wild Bill. When I get a conflicting signal ball vs. Rangoon, that is usually a high probability setup to fade crab meat.
To all the pikers, how do you make money on a weak market opening?? This call was 2 parts, that oil would weaken and oil stocks would weaken (which is the main story of today--great job row!!), and that the decline in oil would allow the S&P to rally into the close (we'll see). It's amazing how the pikers have focused on a "weak opening". I mean, how do you trade that? The "trade" here was short oil, short oil stocks, and long S&P on the day. I was hoping for a "weak" opening, b/c there would be more rally from that. Duh.
