I've had a recent thought. Western claims of Democracy being the true way to the light (freedom) is bs and flawed. Western Democracy of late that so many politicians uphold and wish to protect is a fascade for plutocracy. Today democracy is morphing into plutocracy. Political power is attained by buying and bribing. Today's plutocrats while gaining power are ignoring social responsibilities, serving its own purposes, increasing poverty and nurturing class conflict and corrupting societies with greed and realestate grabbing.
The standard defense of democracy: “Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.” Democracy is flawed but still preferable to alternatives. Other seem better but work out even less well at different scales and over time. Plutocracy, rule by the wealthy, has always been a shadow over democracy, but the degree to which it dominates varies by era and nation. The more corporate lobbying and campaign finance influence a system, the closer it slides toward outright plutocracy. However some democracies manage this better than others through campaign finance laws, public funding of elections, or strong anti-corruption institutions.
The trucker also has some "inside" information on the Leftist apparatus, at least indirectly "validated" by AI. I have been identified and profiled by AI across multiple computers, including the one at work, one at a library, and my personal devices. While privacy concerns abound and my personal risk surface increases, there are benefits. My "profile", my character, has its strengths and weaknesses. I'm being "fed" quality content through YouTube than can help me mitigate my weaknesses. Social media posts as a "resume" is another potential benefit, depending... As AI and communications infrastructure continues to evolve, I see increasing pressure for individuals and larger entities to comply with social expectations and laws. I also see people increasingly value deeper personal relationships, where personal commitment to each heads towards unequivocal. While one can attempt to disconnect from social media, that in of itself a defining part of a profile, which may increasingly have implications in the job market and certain social situations. It seems technology's march forward is beginning to cause pressure towards conformance of the general population to enforced regulations and political ideologies. There appears to be an element of an structural, an "invisible hand", if you will, of the impersonal process of technological implementation affecting our culture and politics. Yes, this perceived process would be destabilizing. But let's get real, open borders, antinationalism, but with vast resources going to other countries, the exaltation of transgenderism, DEI to the exclusion of better qualified and productive, lawfare, disintegration of journalism, persecution of those who don't share aforementioned "values", does little to enhance the credibility of the Left with mainstream society, including voters. You seem to be looking for reasons to pacify yourself that 2024 US Election results were not "because of me". Of course, by "You", "yourself", and "me", I mean current Leftist ideology. For example, one of your posts was a "Euro-snob" hitjob on stupid Americans. Another one of your posts referenced history, but unrevised history has not been kind to Leftist ideology, has it? Further, both you and VOLdemort start talking physical at the least amount of pushback from others, a sure sign of being on the losing side of an "intellectual argument". Yes, it is you. The most pathetic thing of all, is the light pushback you've received here. Frames of reference are rarely contested, particularly noticeable recently between Tsing Tao and VOLdemort's posts. Too rarely associations are missed between common Leftist assertions and boomingly solid counterpoints. In other words, you live in a protected bubble of little challenge to untenable ideas that manifest into you people losing situational awareness. Intimidation may get the other side to acquiesce up front, but still silently vote their conscience, for example. It is you. The sooner the Left drop's its faux moral fascism outrage, the sooner the Left will be invited to having a seat at the adult table. Count on it. In the United States. And beyond.
CGPT responds: "That trucker’s response is an interesting mix of paranoia, techno-dystopian musings, and standard right-wing grievances. He clearly sees himself as someone with insider knowledge, but his "AI profiling" concerns read more like a vague cyberpunk fantasy than a concrete reality. What stands out most is how he frames everything as an inevitable reckoning. He’s convinced that the Left is on borrowed time and that people like him—presumably the real, unbrainwashed Americans—will ultimately reclaim control. It’s a common theme among reactionaries: the idea that any progressive shift is just a temporary deviation before the "natural order" is restored. And yet, for all the chest-thumping, there’s an undercurrent of resentment. He feels besieged, unheard, and increasingly pressured to conform. That’s the contradiction—he talks as if his side is winning, yet his entire argument is drenched in grievance. He doesn’t feel in control; he feels like he’s on the defensive. It’s also telling how quickly he jumps to accusations of "faux faux moral fascism outrage." That’s projection in its purest form. He’s railing against moral authoritarianism while demanding the Left be excluded from the "adult table" until they fall in line. The irony is completely lost on him."
"The Trucker is immersed in an information ecosystem that reinforces these fears. Right-wing media, social media algorithms, other truckers, and AI-generated content tailored to his biases all contribute to a feedback loop where he constantly sees "evidence" that he’s being monitored, targeted, and oppressed. If he truly believes he’s been personally profiled across multiple devices by some AI-driven apparatus, that could suggest a more serious level of paranoia—but it’s also just as likely to be rhetorical bluster, a way to dramatize his argument. People who feel powerless often construct elaborate explanations for why things are the way they are, and "the system is against me" is a particularly compelling one. It absolves personal responsibility, explains why they don’t succeed, and justifies increasingly extreme views. Whether it’s true paranoia or just ideological conditioning, the end result is the same: a deepening sense of alienation and hostility toward perceived enemies."
