Firstly, trade2win.com is a forum, not the other site you mentioned. It's an okay forum and I would not call it a scam, but has a bit in common with the Big Mike Trading forum in that it panders too much to the so called trading experts (read BS artists or marketers), but it's much more open and you cannot get banned there because you speak the truth. Secondly, PureTick is obviously is a scam. They have been around for many years and have yet to embrace the idea of showing some legitimate trading record while claiming all those amazing results. The legitimate record is created by recording the trades in real time and not in hindsight. Your friend's experience with PureTick is way too anecdotal to take it seriously. That's why they are scam artists. They lack legitimacy. Same with many others. Big Mike is another case in point. He is a delusional loser who blew tons of money trading and decided to launch an educatonal trading business where he acts as some kind of authority to his deranged followers. What are his credentials? NONE! His whole business is a sham, at the very best.
Good observation, noticed that too. They must be missing a father figure and Mikey Boy sure is a good substitute. There is more than one active sleazy German operator on that forum. Besides Fat Tails. I know of at least two. The other one goes by the handle of The Seeker. As pretentious as you would expect it from a guy with a sleazy agenda. I caught him once shill for some German vendor and he did it by spamming a thread that was totally unrelated to that vendor. Well, how come that he is not banned yet? He is a useful tool for Big Mike, that's why. The more malicious they are, the more useful they are for sociopaths like Big Mike.
Nice try, shill. Don't insult our intelligence! Really, how stupid do you think us to be to pay $100 for free stuff to enrich your deranged boss? The rest of your drivel was beyond mind boggling. Dirty Harry as a misunderstood innocent genius, LOL. He is a douchebag! http://tradingloonies.wordpress.com/2013/03/23/a-big-mike-trading-forum-update/
Trying to hijack this list, pal? Why did you remove Big Mike and Fat Tails from it? Not so fast. This list does not belong to Big Mike's lackeys. This is a community effort and we are not going to be manipulated by Big Mike's shills. That, BTW, shows how you people operate. It's always through lies, manipulation, and exclusion. That's what Big Mike Trading forum is about. You just gave us nice evidence of that. You losers must be really desparate to come here and manipulate this forum.
This is the right list and stays this way! Big Mike Trading Forum (run by a cowardly, manipulative, deranged loser who) charges for free stuff. Harald Steinhaus (aka Fat Tails, Big Mike's favorite German douchebag who) smears and steals from American vendors. Our friends at tradingloonies.wordpress.com are doing excellent work exposing our favorite trading loonie/deranged loser or Big Mike (for short) and his BS. Here is their latest contribution with extensive references to this forum and to some posts from this thread. Bigmikers must be getting scared shitless (or something). http://tradingloonies.wordpress.com...ng-forum-why-so-many-find-it-so-questionable/
Big Mike and Fat Tails don't deserve to be on the list. And I'm not a shill, just a member among 40,000 others around the world. In fact I heard about Big Mike Trading initially from the many posts and threads here on elitetrader respectful of BMT , Mr. "joined in Mar. 2013". I just added more of my recommendations to the list. emg will sort it out with the official list when he wakes up on this thread and I doubt he would add BMT to it.
That tradingloonies blog has no substance; looks like someone with a grudge and no substance to back up a personal opinion. A while back a fellow trader provided a link to some info he was checking out at BMT and I checked out the site while I was viewing the info he referenced. The first thing I noticed was that every thread I looked at was related to trading or trading psychology and the posts were relevant to the topic at hand. The next thing I noticed was the level of detail people were providing, including videos. There is material for all levels of trading and a wealth of tactics and ideas from which to launch a research phase of trading plan development. Finally, I saw that Linda Bradford Raschke presented webinars there and she is a decades-long consistently profitable trader and money manager. The site is well-moderated which means that you don't have to wade through pages of irrelevant garbage to get to the heart of the topic. The one downside to BMT is sheer amount of information with regard to strategies. I think beginners should master a single concept/strategy and it might be tempting to play around with too many things looking for the "Holy Grail", which traders seem to define as the "trading method that has no losses" (non-existent). As a regular member (free), you have access to more information than you'll ever need to develop a profitable trading method. As a paid member (cheap), you have access to a plethora of detailed webinars from well-known people in the trading world. As for Big Mike being a big losing trader, what bearing does that have on his forum? If he blew up trading accounts, he's in a perfect position to help newbs avoid making the mistakes he made. There is nothing "scam" about BMT and the site is very regulated. It doesn't belong on a list here.
Let's not forget he is selling upgrades to some elite chamber of posts that are so sacrosanct they cost $$$ to have the privilege to lay your eyeballs on 'em. Try 'heavily moderated'. Step out of line and you are gone in a hot minute by the choice of one person. Click on a thread and you are likely to see him chiming in at some point (point is, it is so pervasive, everywhere, the site is about him, then vendors, then the masses) this strikes me as ODD...but that's just me. The webinars also have too much 'BMT'. He should just introduce the speaker and funnel the questions. Instead you get an excessive amount of BMT's thoughts, his own questions (when I started I did this, I always thought that, let me ask my own question). Dude, let the speaker shine, let them present at least 5 slides before you start in, how about introduce them then be quiet and then handle Q/A at the end, it's about them and the audience, not you. Back in the day when Baron did vendor webinars, (audio/chat), it wasn't about Baron. There is a wealth of info and history in the ET threads in a way that I doubt exists on BMT or ever will with the heavy hand that interrupts free speech and the tolerance of opposing views.
Thanks for the good points about BMT. Well said, NoDoji. BMT is forum and hub of sharing trading information. It certainly doesn't belong in emg's witch-hunting scam list of vendors that sell really nothing of value or worse, damaging snake oil. Many of the vendors on the list make up multiple youtube and forum id's to spam and leave behind multiple abandoned vendor sites as they constantly move on to another trading idea to try to sell useless newsletters, subscriptions, indicators or manuals to unsuspecting newbies to trading. re: the fee for the elite section, it's more inline as a fee for the moderation efforts, and extra services.
