Hi Emg, What do you know of Coiledmarkets.com ?? I saw one of Austin's video's today and liked his straightforward approach; but went to his website and didn't get a clear idea of his fees, room costs, etc. Just wondering, he did not have any Hype- fortunately. At least that's a good start.... cheers, G.
Trading is something you have to figure out for yourself and that takes common sense. If you have to ask someone like emg who is absolutely clueless about trading his opinion on trading websites, you aren't starting down the right path to begin with, JMHO.
I took Austinp's course a couple years ago. I thought it was excellent and he did call profitable trades in real time. It didn't make me profitable but that was due to my own personal issues. I'm sure he would agree that there is more to.trading than a method. I was too fixated on methods to learn the rest of what he was trying to teach. I don't currently trade because my life situation doesn't permit it (military and family having some health issues) but when I do trade again when the time is right I will probably rejoin his room for a bit.
Is emg back and ok, I heard he threw his shoulder out patting himself on the back. Good luck on the rehab emg.
Hey Bagger L., I will try Austin this week if I can get registered. Glad to hear a worthwhile experience about his methods. Agreed, I have a good trading edge, but it's the mental aspect that needs perfection. So I know where you've been. Good trading to you. Tx. for posting about Austin P.
ZGTrader, No problem with checking it out, even if it requires an initial investment , once I check it out. I've made money , where people sit back and complain. No problem, I love it when someone tells me I 'can't ' do something. I most often prove them wrong. I love it. Bring on the complainers. Good traders don't complain, Good traders work smart and don't listen to the herd, -> G88
More and more I am realizing the value of having a mentor in any area that one desires to improve upon, trading included. I have done the hard knocks thing enough to realize it isn't the best way. The trick in this industry is finding a good one. That is made even harder than it needs to be by all the losers that blame their failure on whatever program they tried out. If you do happen to find a good one (and I personally believe AustinP is among the good) the next trick is to actually learn from their experiences instead of assuming you are special and the pitfalls that get everyone else won't get you, because you are smarter or whatever you think you are. Maybe you think because you were a succesful poker pro trading success is a given. -cough- Finding someone that has already learned what you want to learn and modeling them can cut years off the learning curve and that is well worth paying for. Expecting to take a simple method and profit $$$$$$$$$$ without aborbing the other trader skills from the mentor is a recipe for disaster and threads like this are proof. Not there aren't a lot of failed trader/scammers of course. But even the good ones get bashed for these reasons.
Amen, brother. Everybody demands a simple cash machine that doesn't require much effort and that works forever. Oh, and all that any client really needs is the entry signal, because nothing else really matters. Never mind what is behind the mechanics of the entry signal. And signal confirmation is for pussies. Oh, and forget about profit targets and stop-loss levels, because the newbie will dispense with those once he has counted all the dough that he's up and the Ferrari dealer has accepted his order.
