stock777: curious how bill duryea of ioamt.com got on the list. Not saying I have an opinion either way. I recommended him on the roll . I have been in his room for more than a handful of months to try to learn but having recorded sessions trying to learn the craft; i learnt that in reality he was bluffing most of the time. No wonder he doesnt share his dome and even if he does based on what i have seen it will really take a long time for anyone to figure out that it doesnt really work. So i figured i will do some future want-to-learners a big favor by blowing the whistle. Infact, he is very slick; very hard to tell if he is not genuine. And that makes it much more important to blow the horn. For example if you go into a room like puretick or the one maintained by john carter its kind of obvious that its all a big joke. But Bill's room is good (read much worse). It take quite a while to figure it out.
Well, I checked his room out YEARS ago , before he started charging the suckers . As s0on as I started asking the hard questions (you know, I like to ask the hard ones) they kicked me out. I say they because he had a few shills in there running things.
Yes, that's what I said- It's good, BUT .... You have to work at it. It's not easy, but Hey : Doesn't it always sound 'fishy' when someone says it's easy to make a living trading a few hours a day ? If it were that easy then everyone would be doing it-But that's not the case. Just like any advanced degree- you study, you put in the hours, and with conviction and desire you will get ahead, But... plan on working on your discipline, time, risk management, and focus on a written plan... All of this is posted at Puretick.com, and they do have Coaches you can hire. Yes, that will cost you money, but you will lose that Coaching money - in lost trades, if you do not get a Coach. Think about it ~! Trading is Simple, but it's not Easy . Unless you have a plan... Cheers, G.K.
I think Al Brooks, trading bar by bar is for real but I have only been in his room several days. Who knows he doesn't show a DOM or any PNL.
Now i have a golden rule before i pay a single buck to learn from somebody who pretends to know something about the markets. Show me an audited tax record; if you dont make money trading - i dont give a damn how good you can talk; its all a sheer. Guess what; that eliminates 100% of all the gurus out there pretending to know something about the markets and trying to disseminate their crap. PS: i dont have a big problem but puretick folks; when will you learn a bit. how many times have you been bashed on these boards and still you keep on marketing yourself as a coaching outfit around here. come on..

Even that can be fudged. Only recently, my best friend - who should pharking well know better by now - asked me for my opinion re a trading charlatan's service. The website had an audited Ameritrade account (if memory serves) of like $10K for about 2 years and this was enough to convince him that the "guru" was legit. Putting the "2 years is not enough" and "how many trades (not many actually)" arguments aside, the charlatan could have opened a few Ameritrade accounts with $10K each, and when one made money after a couple of years, then BINGO! $$$
