    Are you blind or whatever?

Trump didn't even want to meet Zelensky. Documents were to be signed in Kiev

    Zelenski insisted on this meeting

Before meeting he met with democrats who instructed him to insult trump

Zelensky was told this meeting was strictly to sign the deal - instead zelensky started mumbling immediately in public he need to have security guaranties and won't have any negotiations, lying in the mean time about minsk agreements

I wouldn't even say that Zelenski not the head of state as his term passed long ago

SAying something against Trump in this situation is beyond ridiculous

Republicans were there too with reporters for that brief meeting with Democrats as usual when any dignitary arrives to the Capitol before meeting the U.S. President.

Typically the brief meeting just picture taking of hellos, handshakes, first time introductions, and hey its nice to see you again...how was your flight to here?

A PayPal mafia South African says so? Wow.

His push for "Trump's peace deal" is about politics, not peace, Trump has no real plan beyond appeasing Putin.

Russia invaded Ukraine, and the so-called "Istanbul Accords" were never a firm agreement but rather a vague discussion that Russia later walked back on. Minsk I & II (2014–2015) were similar ceasefire deals that Russia repeatedly violated. In the middle of Istanbul the atrocities in Kyiv suburb Bucha, hundreds of civilians murdered and dumped in mass graves, were discovered. Putin was in bad faith and talks collapsed as it was just a stalking tactic while Putin regrouped.

The argument that Zelensky wants the war to continue for power is absurd, Ukraine is still fighting for its survival against somebody who is a monster.

Lessons of the Minsk Deal: Breaking the Cycle of Russia's War Against Ukraine

Some peace deals lead to peace, others to more war. The Minsk II deal aimed to end Russia’s limited invasion of Ukraine in 2015 but instead laid the groundwork for the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022. The United States must learn from the Minsk deal or risk a direct Russia-NATO conflict that puts American lives at risk.
