I often wonder why people wear those skull caps unless they are riding a motorcycle. As a young man I recall that most people wearing skull caps back then were being treated for ring-worm. Later I realized some people were also wearing them because their hair was so unkempt and dirty that they didn't want anyone to see it and they couldn't be bothered to take a shower. So, when ever I see someone wearing one of them and not on a motorcycle I always try to keep my distance from them believing that there must be a good reason they are wearing this fixture on their head.
