The Ronin Network assured all users that it is “working with law enforcement officials, forensic cryptographers, and our investors to make sure all funds are recovered or reimbursed”. At the current prices the stolen funds are worth nearly 615 million USD. I'm kind of sceptical that will happen, at least not in the near future.
Plausible deniability. If the money comes from a tumbler, good luck proving who knew what and who owned what. Not to mention who wants to do this 100-200 times?
I'm surprised Europe hasn't banned tumblers (yet). But it's most likely coming with the growing anti-crypto cancel-culture sentiment that's happened since the war broke out. The crock-of-wallstreet tried to wash their funds through a tumbler, but investigators were still able to piece together everything. Funny how THAT case has some sort of media ban on it. No ones talking about what was the biggest hack getting solved currently. Instead, the whole world seems to just want to talk about Will Simp (the chimp) knuckling it on-stage to slap someone for offending his whore's honor.
