What about "Confusion de Confusiones" by Jose de la Vega, Amsterdam, 1688 (Yes, that's 1688!). Probably one of the oldest book about trading. I know only a German translation, much edited. The original will be hard to read since it is beefed up - as was the fashion then - with many hints and excursions into Greek mythology. Nevertheless very interesting reading. Regards Bernd Kuerbs
