To be fair -- there has been significant bipartisan attention focused on helping homeless veterans over the past few years. I will have to give credit to both the Obama administration and Congress for the steps they have taken (and I'm not known for praising government). The number of homeless vets was around 200,000 in 2008, dropped to 75,000 by 2010 and will shortly be under 50,000. I know they have done a lot of work in Fayetteville, NC to get homeless vets into housing over the past few years.
