lol, this is what happens when you challenge the naysayers. They dont have any reasonable arguement so they either put you on ignore (like weak willed "cold") or they just throw insults at you about not being profitable or being stupid. Whenever you ask them details about WHY they dont like it, they have nothing real to say. sigh....typical
This is fun. You guys can continue to 'personalize' this issue and it does pass the time. However, it is not important if Cocaine, Cold, or Swordsman have traded the 'Hershey Method'. Has ANYONE using HM met the claims of the 'Hershey Method'!!!!????? Has ANYONE using HM turned $10k into $15 million within a year? Has ANYONEusing HM traded and achieved 3 * H-L profits day after day? Has ANYONE using HM traded 'always in the market' day after day? And the list of Hershey claims is longer.... Rosenthal/Collins is pitching the 'Hershey Method' without having a clue about the claims Hershey has used to maintain interest in his babble. They will attract newbes who will have a hard time understanding a simple 3 rule divergence system such as Trader's International, what are they going to do with Hershey's mish-mash of jibberish? It will play out on an open stage. Things to watch for, are they calling real trades in the chatroom? are they posting performance? Is the chatroom only drawing lines on a chart and calling trades after they are closed? Does the performance match with previously stated Hershey claims. NOOOOOO. Gee why not?
If I might interject a post in my own thread, which as usual has been highjacked by vitriol and invective, the screen representations in the new Hershey software are so laughably primitive that I doubt that any serious trader would find them convincing. Back in the day when I was testing Hershey I came up with better graphics than that using the canned capabilities of Easy-Signal. I have found many Hersheyites to be personally quite engaging in PMs, but as a class they are indifferent algorithmicists and coders. Probably because so few of them are engineers, scientists or mathematicians. Why is that, haha?
I agree, they are going for the newbes. It is just a few charting tools. As a business I wonder what they are thinking. If they do create a business there is no visible 'intellectual property' that they can use to prevent anyone from adding that feature to their own software. ButtonTrader could add anything in the PeakTrader package tomorrow for example. Everything in this package as far as I can see is available today on existing packages so really nothing to add. Does RosenthalCollins really want to get into the seminar business? This combined with Hershey history of unsupportable claims, a SEC enforcing vague 'nanystate' rules, and plenty of competition. What is good is to see this discussion finally get resolved.
I am recovering from a nasty flu. Just woke up with the sweats. And not out of my dick, unfortunately. Having a dream that to promote the new software they have Jack do a live trading demonstration at a show. Seeing all the erroneous "point 3's" that occur at provisional trendlines. And the sweating over reverses absent hard stops. And staying always-in vice taking a rational breather during low volume. It is not even clear that the SW actually draws the trendlines. Or crayolas the volume. Or interprets what to do with DOM and "stretch-squeeze" (sic). They need old Joe to convert all that stuff to a stoplight for the drooling sweaty panting masses. The dead-giveaway for a discretionary system is the lack of a hard call from the SW. But then, it MUST be discretionary, mustn't it? Otherwise clients could sue for misrepresentation using what little is left of their assets. And why does the promoter not advertise on ET? It is, after all, the dank fetid swamp that spontaneously spawned the Hersheymunity. En bref, you have Joe and specificity. Or Jack and ambiguity. I can promise you one thing. Joe will never sell out!
ah who are we kiddin men we need turds and SCT folks like spyder to make money in the markets I am against Jack but we need Jack, he brings people into this game, and I guess if I was very smart indeed I would support the SCT delusion I apologize for not remembering this sooner..........Jack I love you........Come Back.......I am serious
I can't speak for spyder, he seems to be a decent enough guy after meeting him (and I'm sure he'd say the same about me ), but hershey is a loon. Here's a posting where he claims to be able to catch every wrinkle in the market before it happens: Jack the Supertrader Lunatic fringe ...
The company did unveil their software at the NYC Trader Expo - live and in real time. Clearly, the software represents a 'work in process.' Now, as much as I hate to burst the bubble of all the conspiracy theorists on this thread, who (to quote bighog) "had this all figured out long ago," kindly take a look at the charts posted by me recently. Do they match the software under discussion? So glad to see everyone, who's only source of exercise is leaps of faith and jumping to conclusions, presenting such powerful examples of their intellectual skills. Hilarious. Classic ET. And Joe had to ask me last night how to spot people who don't trade? Take a look at the respondents to this thread who arrived at a conclusion devoid of any supporting facts. Not difficult is it? Once again, those screaming the loudest simply got it wrong. Now, watch as they reveal the true quality of their character, and try to spin their assinine assumptions into faulting others, after having been presented with facts. For the record, I have no affiliation with Peak Trader Group, their software or Rosenthal Collins. I have tested their software. I do not use their software for trading. As to why they haven't become a sponsor on ET, its probably because they aren't promoting their software here. The idiots who claimed to "have it all figured out" have been the one's promoting the software. Classic ET. Thanks for the laugh guys. - Spydertrader
spyder is right SCT may, nay should be given second look I am sorry for name calling, I admit some concepts of SCT I already use, but the more I learn about SCT the better my trading is forgive my earlier posts, you and Jack have done a lot for me even though I never met either one Jack I apologize to you as well.......keep up the good work.....spread the word
