After I send an order, I try and cancel but it still goes through, Why? Are Nasdaq stops working yet? Can I order trades directly from Real Tick? QCharts? Thanks
When you send in an order, depending upon which exchange it's sent to, it may already be getting filled as you send in a cancel order. It shouldn't happen if you're trading NASDAQ stocks through ECN's, but if you're trading listed stocks or options, or NAZ orders that go to a market maker, you could have that problem. Unfortunately, you can't send and execute trades with IB using Realtick, although that would certainly be a cool adaptation if either side were able to implement it.
