A good Cuban Cigar and a double shot of scotch on the rocks! That really gets you going for sure... Cheers to all my fellow members!
It ain't that straightforward. Yeah, we all despise a drunk. And everyone recognizes that being impaired during trading is unwise. Yet, there is something here. I'm sure the OP was referring to that very narrow band of consumption that leaves one enlightened, quick-minded and with balls of steel. Its not quite intoxication. Its that in-between state after a good shot or two of Absolute Black. Churchill mentions this state and generally "forced" his guests, including teetotalers, to drink a certain miniscule amount of brandy before dinner. Of course, Churchill was reputed to have consumed a rail-car full of champagne in his lifetime and generally greeted each day with a Johnny Walker and water before breakfast.
I don't know if there is a link but it reminds me of a simpson episode when Homer is drunk as usual, and Moe gives him a token for a brand new machine called alcohol-o-tester or whatever, and Homer reaches the supremous level called "Boris Eltsine"... Perhaps this "Boris Eltsine" level may alter your judgement in financial investments.
Interesting thread. The responses tell you a lot about the individual posters. My take ....... The ones adamantly telling the OP not to do it, most certainly have never tried what the OP is suggesting but are simply regurgitating what the powers that be have shoved down their throats. Most (apart from AustinP and a few others), probably do not make consistent money trading. If they do, not up to their full potential. I say this because they seem to see things as black or white. Which is exactly how society wants you to see things. The type of mentality that says 'this is good' and 'this is bad'. Trading is neither black nor white, but rather many shades of grey. The posters that have it right are the ones who advised that while it may work, he may develop an immunity to a certain amount of alcohol and will need more to acheive the desired affect. .... This type of thinking is outside the box. Which is exactly what is required in trading. Also, to the people passing judgement on the OP for his handle 'Cocaine'. How do you know he simply doesn't just like the song 'Cocaine'? If I chose a handle like 'needle_in_arm' would that mean I am a junkie? Couldn't I be a diabetic? Or does everything have to be black or white? P.S. to the OP. I have tried what you're suggesting. It didn't do much for me as putting on ridiculous size isn't a problem for me, more of a downfall. Oh yeah, I am on the west coast so the opening bell here is at 6:30 AM. lol
I recommend eating healthy in the morning Blueberries Also try 'The Ultimate Meal' it is an all natural meal replacement - quite expensive but one worth it Keep it healthy so you feel energized during trading hours
Carey Franklin of the 99' Illini tennis squad was an amazing lefty I watched growing up. He also ate 1 sausage mcmuffin before every dual match. Tiley, the head coach, would say in summer camp "carey is the exception". Thats probably because being Carey is the exception in a lot of ways, much like being a profitable trader. He might of performed better eating blueberries. But it should be obvious to anyone that eating bad foods and being a phenomenal athlete are not mutually exclusive. it should be obvious that this is the same for drinking a few and some level of profitability in trading.
