  2. What next? a crack whore bouncing up and down on your lap aids concerntration?

Like any drug you will need more and more to get the same effect over time, before you know it you'll need several drinks just to take off the edge and lay a trade

  5. I cant tell you how naive that is, you will have built up a dependance long before noticing it and it hardly addresses the psychological weakness in your trading method that precipitated it

  6. Yeah, I would say I'm scared shitless for the guy, but I don't know'em so I can't say that.

I've pretty much shown where I'm coming from regarding this action. I think it's completely irresponsible and I think he should no more be allowed to trade than drunk drivers should be allowed to drive ... but hey, it most definitely is a free country.

  7. My trading method is sound. It works well. I just want to make it work better. There are many ways people can approach fixing their problems. I have decided to try an alternative way. Sure, its not popular with the masses....but then again the masses lose money so who really cares what they think, right?

Going that extra mile, doing what the other guy wont do is what can make people great. Its all about how badly you want it. I am willing to risk ridicule here as well as my own capital if I am wrong but at least I am trying something I believe to be helpful. So far, it has worked out as planned. Its a controlled experiment and the discipline in trade selection remains there, its the tweaking of the position size that is being worked on.

I dont know you from this site nor do I have any idea your level of profitability. If you are making more than me (ie over 200k a year) then I salute you. I just dont see how I can make more than what I am making w/o altering my brain to deal with my emotions better.

  8. Kinda like when I tried weed for the first time. I said I'd only do it ONCE..lol, who was I trying to fool?. Maybe having a drink before trading really does work, I dont know.

  9. That's a very valid comment.

And I gave you a great resource to help you with your issue.

Don't say you don't have any other options.

    That's a DAMN LIE!.

You CHOOSE to drink because deep down, that's what you really want to do, anyway.

Don't kid yourself (or try to kid us) with your current levels profitability or try to distract us from the reall issue at hand.

You have a substance abuse problem and you want to indulge it while trading.

The thing is, I have no idea why you want to discuss it in public like his.

    I'm sick of you.

  10. JJ,

You are free to leave this thread. No one has asked you to continue posting here. I personally dont think you pull in the kind of dough that I am so your opinion here isnt that relevant. Really successful traders are always open minded, until they themselves have tested something and found it to not work. You have already mentioned to me that you, yourself, have not tried this experiement. I think you know where I am going with this....

You are right though, I do have an addiction. Its an addiction to keep improving and improving my trading. I am willing to go the extra mile. Maybe you are not? Its not a traditional experiment but who the hell cares. You only have one shot at life and I am not the kind of person that wants to leave with regrets.

Finally, you should be happy that I am doing this. According to you, I will be a train wreck. That means potentially more money in your pocket right?
