I was out fly fishing. Just got back a short while ago. I made around 812 dollars today doing nothing. Just sitting on cash right now earning 3%. I am very opportunistic these days. I don't need a mortgage, house and acreage is fully paid in cash.
It's okay, its not for everybody to understand. But maybe it can do you good in your personal life if I explain a little bit so I'm gonna do it.. At some point in my life I realized that pursuing to be a pilot is just survivng/existing and I found it depressing. I contemplated a little bit and found my purpose. I tried pursuing that purpose and I realized I'm not ready yet mentally. As an immature, I knew that I had to work for someone who knows what they're doing so I did. After working for a while, I kinda forgot about my purpose (which is the reason why I wake up everyday) and got depressed again. I realized why I'm depressed, left my job to pursue my passion and failed once again, but this time I am aware why. Knowing that I don't believe in getting paid by time but rather with results. I decided to finally pursue trading, as a stepping stone towards my purpose.
Welcome to trading. Choose one instrument and seek to become and expert. Absorb every thing about that one instrument that will help you to understand inefficiencies. Learn every narrative that influences it's price. Get your hands on everything that will help you develop a trading plan, risk management and how to handle the psychological side of trading. To your trading success.
OP. The question is, what is the trader getting out of it? You will learn and possibly earn a lot based on those teachings. Trader in return gets what?
Would you be interested in rules based trading or would you be more interested in artistic and intuitive trading? What timeframe charts would you like to trade? Ideally, when do you want to trade them, stated in New York time please? I've been known to stay up late a time or two myself. https://www.worldtimezone.com/
One thing I can say is that day trading is the hardest timeframe to start with. It is possible to make a living out of it but for someone that is starting out it is closer to gambling than anything else. I would suggest you to start with swing trading as a way to build patience and resilience, let's say on weekly timeframes, then if you are successful in these longer timeframes move to shorter and noisier action. There are many cases of traders that start with day trading and blow their accounts in days.
LIFE is poetry in motion. When you see it, you grab it if it fits. This commercial, made what, 30 years ago? It encapsulates my thoughts about my aviation career I saw ahead of me, but I let it go. Except in the video, I was not the wanderer who dreamed about flying to a destination. I wanted to be the pilot who brought you there.
