A day in the life of a market maker

  1. Anyone here on ET a MM?. I'm asking because I want to know what a typical day is like for you. Also I have a few questions if you dont mind.

    1. How much time before and after the markets open/close is spent preparing for the next day?

    2. Will a firm hire a trader to be a MM without a college degree?

    3. Whats the average salary for an MM?..does it vary by firm, or by how many trades you make..etc...?

    4. Whats the smallest to largest size of stock you ever bought or sold at once?

    5. Do MM's pay commissions?

    6. How many MM's work for the same firm.

    7. How many stocks do you work at the same time?

    8. How long do MM's keep their job before they get fired or burn out?

    9. What do you enjoy most about being a MM.
