first what specific comment that Al has made that you disagree with?

that ES has pull backs ,wedges, break outs, bull bars, bear bars....?

    do you disagree with that?.

what he says has been said for the last 100 years.

and traders have been losing money for that time.

    is it his fault?

Don't listen to Padu, he's full of it. You do you and post what you want in your journal. Brooks isn't going to sue you because you called something a HL MTR or said you bought the close because the market is always-in long.

Keep working your way through the books.

Exactly how clueless ignorant pudu has treated OP is why I'll never start a trading journal. Sorry futurescat had to mention this, carry on.

Your documentation is really extremely detailed.
I take my hat off to you.

I have thrown away hundreds of trading books into the Mount of Doom.

For yesterday's ES trading, I'd wait for the JUICY ZONE.
If I miss it, too bad for me.
And if I trade in the GARBAGE ZONE, I'd probably lose $$$$$$$.

Yesterday's juicy zone was easy to identify as
the major US index futures, some Asian index futures, DAX, CAC40 .... moved in tandem.

JUICY ZONE - can eat a thick slab of juicy Wagyu beef
GARBAGE ZONE - if I am lucky, I can only eat skins and bones and insides

Anyway, you have to develop your own holy grail based on Brooks' or whatever.

    another constructive day.
some takeaways: H1 is a sweet spot TF for me regarding contextual planning. ZN may be a market I want to keep an eye on. I am comfortable reading and trading ZN when it exhibits certain PA behaviors.
