If I am correct I believe it was the day Geez and I were on the opposite side of the large AIG move up. (I didn't know it at the time) Geez was long and I was short and Mr. Geez was right and I was wrong. The only thing that I wish geez would have done differently is to have been able to get more than he did (I think I will let Geez say how much so as to not steal his thunder) Good work Geez and I hope you beat your record soon !!! Respectfully, Robert PS, yes I do think you have the greatest job : o )
Whatever happened to Geez? He seemed to have dissapeared. Darn shame, I really enjoyed reading his stuff ...
He's alive and well and still a master trader in very way. He won this bet 3 times over last year. Watching Geez trade month after month played a major part in my transformation from total noob to pretty decent trader myself. I refer people to this site all the time when they talk about how hard trading is. If you follow the trend, use relative strength/weakness for additional fuel in your direction, and have a reward:risk ratio of 2:1, trading is really not hard at all. You can lose more than half the time and still make money.
It was a great journal. Should be a must read for all those who claim you can't make money trading. One of the very few journals that operated in real time or at least close to it.
NYC, I hope your doing well Drop in the chat and say hi. Geez is there daily kicking it hard as usual. He is a total money making machine. It's great to see him trade Robert
Whilst our trade picking techniques are probably different I think the most valuable lesson I learned reading this excellent journal was about money management. Although I'm mainly a pair trader, I've learned a few other techniques from this forum, one of which is generally a 50/50 play. Incorporating the 2:1 reward/risk, almost mechanically, has allowed me to trade it profitably. It sounds obvious but somehow having watched someone else actually do it day in, day out, has rammed it home. Thanks for your help geez and may you be raking in the geez well into the future.
